About sermorelin
Sermorelin is a synthetic version of the first 29 amino acids of growth-hormone-releasing hormone. It was once FDA-approved as a branded product for children with growth hormone deficiency; that product was discontinued in 2008 for commercial reasons, not safety. Today it is supplied in the US by compounding pharmacies on prescription, usually as a lyophilized vial with instructions from the pharmacy.

Is sermorelin FDA-approved?
The original branded product was approved and later discontinued. Sermorelin available today is compounded, and compounded drugs are not FDA-approved.
