BPC-157 is not FDA-approved for any use, and there are no established human doses. Most research is in animals. The amounts in the charts below show the arithmetic only.

What BPC-157 is

BPC-157 is a synthetic chain of 15 amino acids, based on a sequence from a protein found in gastric juice. It has been studied mainly in animal models of tissue healing. In April 2026 the FDA removed it from its Category 2 list of bulk substances that pharmacies should not compound; removal does not mean approval. In July 2026 the FDA's compounding advisory committee voted to recommend it for the list of substances pharmacies may compound for specific uses. As of this update, that recommendation has not become a final rule.

Units chart: 5 mg vial with 2 mL water

At 2.5 mg/mL, each unit on a U-100 syringe holds 25 mcg.

Units chart: 10 mg vial with 2 mL water

At 5 mg/mL, each unit holds 50 mcg, so every draw is half the units of the chart above.

Working in mcg

BPC-157 amounts are usually written in micrograms, while vials are labelled in milligrams. Switch the dose unit in the calculator to mcg and it converts for you. 1 mg is 1,000 mcg.

Frequently asked questions

How many units is 250 mcg of BPC-157?

In a 5 mg vial with 2 mL of water (2.5 mg/mL), 250 mcg is 10 units. In a 10 mg vial with 2 mL, it is 5 units.

How much water should I add to a 5 mg BPC-157 vial?

The water volume sets the concentration. 2 mL gives 2.5 mg/mL (25 mcg per unit); 1 mL gives 5 mg/mL (50 mcg per unit). Use the BAC water calculator to pick a volume that makes your amount a round number of units.

Is BPC-157 legal?

It is not FDA-approved. Its status for pharmacy compounding changed during 2026 and is still being decided. Check current FDA guidance and ask a pharmacist.
