About HCG
Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is a prescription hormone, FDA-approved for specific fertility and endocrine uses. It is labelled in international units (IU), not mg, and supplied as a powder with instructions for the diluent. Follow the mixing directions that come with your product and your prescriber's dose.

How many units is 500 IU of HCG?
At 1,000 IU/mL (5,000 IU in 5 mL), 500 IU is 50 units. At 2,000 IU/mL, it is 25 units.
Are IU and syringe units the same?
No. IU measures biological activity; a syringe unit is 0.01 mL. The calculator links them through the vial's concentration.
